Jeffrey Cobbold

Jeffrey Cobbold is a performer-composer of Christian sacred music in the electroacoustic, experimental, and sound art genres. In 2026, he began Jeffrey and the Ambiguities of Life, an emerging worship arts project aimed at reaching the latent church and those on the margins of Christian faith. Beyond sacred music, his single, “You Smiled And Showed Me…” from An Experimental Music Sampler Vol. 2 was added to Pandora's AMP: Fresh Cuts playlist in 2025.

Jeffrey has presented his research at arts festivals & academic conferences both domestically in the United States and internationally in Norway, the United Kingdom, and Spain. He is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts student & special faculty lecturer at California Institute of the Arts, where he teaches courses and workshops in the Herb Alpert School of Music. In 2026, Jeffrey received the Mary Jo Small Fellowship from the Society for the Future of Higher Education.
